From November 23, 2015 the stamping fee for Vietnam visa will be reduced sharply.

According to the Circular No. 157/2015/TT-BTC recently issued by the Ministry of Finance, the stamping fee for picking up a visa on arrival in Vietnam will be changed as follows:

- Single-entry visas have been cut from US$ 45 to US$ 25, to conform to the government’s policy of encouraging tourism activities and bringing visa fees in line with those of other countries in the region.

- Multiple-entry visas for periods of less than three months are now US$ 50, down from US$ 95, which are generally issued to people attending conferences and seminars or traveling.

- Visas valid from three to six months and over six months remain unchanged, at US$ 95 and US$ 135, respectively. The Circular also includes additional terms, including visas from one to two years, for US$ 145, and from two to five years, for US$ 155.

Fees are to be collected in VN Dong. Fees stated in US Dollars may be collected in US Dollars or in VN Dong at the average inter-bank foreign exchange rate announced by the State Bank of Vietnam at the time the fee is collected.

The new schedule of stamping fee for Vietnam visa will take effect from November 23, 2015, and replace those contained in Circular No. 66/2009/TT-BTC.
